OUR QUALIFICATIONS
Since 1984 The Hydro Corporation has provided quality commercial diving services. As part of this ongoing commitment to our clients and employees, all diving operations are conducted in full compliance with applicable OSHA regulations and industry standards. As a result of maintaining such high standards, our client base includes many governmental agencies and private entities.
The Hydro Corporation maintains a full-time staff of commercially certified divers (in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910, Subpart T), current in their First Aid, CPR and Dan O2 oxygen administration training. We also require all of our Divers to receive OSHA 10 Safety Training and an annual commercial diving physical and are of sound physical and mental health.
The Hydro Corporation complies stringently to safe diving practices. Implementation of these safety practices have rewarded us with a remarkable record reflected in our EMR rating from the insurance companies. We do not accept or recognize recreational scuba diving certificates for commercial diving operations. Accordingly, all Hydro personnel have graduated from an accredited Association of Commercial Diving Educators (ACDE) school and hold the ANSI 98 /01 Commercial Diving Certification. Our divers are also certified and/or have received training in a variety of fields and disciplines, augmenting their skill and competency level.
Other personal qualifications maintained by many of our divers include: Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), Confined Space Entry Procedures, Tagout/Lockout Procedures, Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER), NBIS Underwater Bridge Inspector's Training, Nuclear Diving, RAD Training, Contaminated Dive Training, Safe Boating Training (US Coast Guard), and API Rigging Certification, and numerous site specific safety orientations
All of The Hydro Corps operations are fully insured. Evidence of our General Liability, Workers' Compensation, and Jones Act coverage can be provided for evaluation and an insurance certificate will be issued prior to commencement of work.
